Animal Chimaeras
This project started from a discussion from my then-five-year-old child about the animal combinations in Harry Potter. We started to come up with our own, and created a long list of two-animal chimaeras that I decided to illustrate. The child came up with all the combinations, and we made a rule that each animal could only be used once in the entire series. The child also helped to name each creature. I’ve now finished 120 of these illustrations, and next plan to write about each.
