Parasite-Host Illustrations

I have been creating illustrations of a parasite-host research system for use by a professor of disease ecology. This professor studies Daphnia (water fleas, the host) and how infections with Pasteuria or Spirobacillus affect host fitness and physiology. These illustrations allow her to easily create presentations and figures for papers and grants; they are provided to her in modular form (and in various sizes and formats) so she can add and subtract various body parts, egg stages, and host infection statuses as needed. All illustrations are based off of information and images in peer-reviewed research papers, and from the professor’s own research images and data. Shown here are samples of the illustrations with most of their components.
